Youth Gym
SLAM kidz has 22 pieces of equipment including weights, treadmills, reaction walls, punch bag and various other cardio machines made by Shokk the leading specialist in youth training and exercise equipment. Kids can monitor their progress using Shokk tactics, an electronic system installed within SLAM kidz and is controlled by finger print recognition. The gym offers flexible options for young people wanting to become a member, allowing them to join as a fully or casual user member, just as they would in an adult gym. By providing this facility, which is the largest in County Durham, it gives young people an opportunity to start fitness training using specially made equipment, designed with young people in mind. The gym is designed to offer young people the opportunity to work out in a fun and friendly enviroment, allowing them to mix with like minded young people, creating new friendships as well as inproving their health.
